Gastboards is home to Roberto Gastelumendi, a self-taught master woodworker-dreamer-designer-technician-maker, and a community of our client friends. Our Bay Area workshop represents a profound appreciation for wood and its possibilities, both aesthetic and functional.
02 Furniture
From sinewy legs and sculptural arcs, to live edge and blunt precipices, Roberto stretches his materials to its structural limits to meet his artistic vision. Coffee, dining and side tables, desks, benches, and built-ins provide the medium for which to apply his joinery techniques and inspired designs.
03 Design & Architectural Installation
Roberto translates his technique - wrought large-scale - into architectural installations for interior and exterior use. Unique joinery for doors, trim, stairwells, flooring and other applications feature reclaimed and virgin wood, offering surprising takes and unexpected turns on woodwork
